Buying or Selling

Who do I deal with?

arrow_drop_down

Caravan Depot has a national network of caravan brokers. Just like an estate agent, the local broker lists the caravans in their area. This means they have inspected them, taken full details and many pictures. When you enquire about a caravan, you will be speaking to the broker. They will tell you all you need to know about the vehicle and send you additional pictures, if required, before you go to view it.

Is the financial transaction secure?

arrow_drop_down

Yes, this is the most secure way to purchase a privately-sold caravan. Your payment goes into our clients' account. We then pay the owner who is bound by the terms of their contract. In addition to these financial and contractual safeguards, you must remember that our relationship with our seller clients eliminates the widespread problem of fraud in private caravan sales. We have been to our client's home, spent time with them, physically checked the caravan, carried out a history check and established a personal relationship. No fraudster would invite this level of scrutiny, so you can be sure that all of the caravans we offer are genuine.

So, where does Caravan Depot make its money?

arrow_drop_down

Caravan Depot operates in exactly the same way as most brokerage businesses do. We make a small margin on each transaction which is the differential in price between buyer and seller. We get paid only when we successfully sell your caravan and it is entirely up to you what price you wish to accept. Just like an estate agent, our role is to put forward offers and negotiate on your behalf until you receive an offer you are happy to accept.

Is it really no sale, no fee?

arrow_drop_down

Yes, we really do operate on a no sale, no fee basis. We successfully sell the vast majority of caravans that we are asked to market, so why put people off by charging up-front fees?

What is the process for selling my caravan with Caravan Depot?

arrow_drop_down

All you have to do is contact us - we do the rest. Your local broker will come and see you and take a full description and lots of photos of your caravan. They will then list your caravan for sale, deal with all of the enquiries that come in and put forward any offers. When an offer is accepted, we will manage the financial transaction. All you have to do is hand over the keys once you have cleared funds in your bank account!

Where will you advertise my caravan for sale?

arrow_drop_down

Caravan Depot advertises the caravans it has for sale across a wider range of caravan sales websites than anyone else. Your caravan will be listed on this website and other leading caravan sales websites such as Autotrader. If someone is looking to buy a caravan like yours, we will make sure they find it!

Will you deal with the buyers for me?

arrow_drop_down

Yes, we will deal with all interested parties on your behalf. Firstly, we make sure they have full details about your caravan before coming to see it. We don't encourage time wasters and it's why most of our caravan sell on the first or second viewing. All offers for your caravan will come through us and we will do all of the negotiating for you to get an acceptable price. Finally, we manage the financial transaction on your behalf to make sure it is secure and you release the keys only when you have cleared funds in your bank account.

How do I get paid for my caravan and is payment secure?

arrow_drop_down

With the rise of fraud in the private caravan sales market, this is an important question. We take payment from the buyer into our clients' account, which is unique to Caravan Depot and is protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme up to £85,000. We make sure the payment is genuine and the funds have cleared. We then pay you. But you release the keys only once you have the cleared funds in your bank account.

When do I release the keys to my caravan when it is sold?

arrow_drop_down

Do many people use Caravan Depot to sell their caravans?

arrow_drop_down

Yes, Caravan Depot sells many caravans every year on behalf of their owners. When the alternatives are to try and sell privately yourself, or accept a trade price offer from a dealer, it isn't hard to see why our no sale, no fee service is so popular.
